WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT SWEDISH DENIM?
It's all in the details and the wearability. The stitching, the reinforced knees, the leather logo patch with Sweden emblazed on it, and the stylish washes that kids and parents appreciate.
The fashion world knows and appreciates Swedish denim for adults, now discover it for your kids!
Polarn O. Pyret offer five fits for all possible and impossible types of activities. Select the fit based on the type of activity
- Slim fit with lots of stretch is good for tree climbing to prevent getting caught in the branches
- Loose fit might be a good alternative for a party
Then there is naturally the matter of taste and preference! Most important is that children get to be children – in the right jeans for all activities.
- SKINNY - Our most slender fit with lots of stretch
- SLIM - Very slender in the leg with plenty of stretch to ensure free movement
- REGULAR- Straight leg with a fit between slim and relaxed
- RELAXED - Slightly looser fit
- LOOSE - Out loosest fit
If jeans are well cared for, they will be a great longtime friend that only gets more attractive and softer over time.
TAKING THE BEST CARE OF YOUR JEANS
- Always follow the washing instructions.
- Empty all of the pockets.
- Turn inside out to prevent stripes from forming in the folds while washing.
- Wash jeans with similar colours.
- Do not use fabric softener – doing so can negatively affect the elasticity.
- Air drying will maintain shape better than a tumble dry.
Did you know that:
No one pair of jeans has the same shade as any other?
This is because there are natural variations in how colour adheres when the jeans are dyed and because the fabric is sandpapered by hand to make it look worn. This is part of the charm of denim – no one pair of jeans is like any other.
Jeans are dyed with indigo, which fades and disappears over time. Even if this is primarily the case with dark jeans, it is also true of lighter-coloured jeans. Be careful so that the colour in the jeans does not rub off on lighter-coloured clothing and furniture.
Our denim is Uni (unisex in styling) so your boys and your girls can wear it. Uni provides many more options for parents and kids. Boys and girls alike agree that our Swedish denim is pretty cool.
Not for girls. Not for boys - We make clothes for children.
It may seem obvious, but our belief that boys and girls have the same needs makes us fairly unique. We want to make the best clothes in the world for children. Who wears what – and in what colors – is up to you. This has been our reasoning since we started making children’s clothing in 1976. It is a matter of not only colours, but perhaps more importantly – also fit.
Our unisex collection consists of clothing that is based on situation and function rather than on gender. There is really no reason to design different models and fits for small boys and girls since there is no great difference in the way their bodies are shaped. We have taken an overall approach to unisex clothing, and consider not only colour but also pattern and fit. We primarily want to offer children and parents freedom of choice. Each collection is first planned based on the UNI concept, after which we develop clothes that are more gender oriented.
Also, Polarn O. Pyret’s UNI concept embraces a more sustainable approach to children’s clothes. Rather than feed the throw-away culture of disposable fashion, our clothes stay in the family.
