Tove Jansson's fairytale treasures have touched many people around the world. Now they come to life with our exclusive limited edition kidswear collection in celebration of Moomin's 80th anniversary.
With her inclusive and loving philosophy, Tove Jansson lets children discover a world where all emotions are allowed and welcomed into a home where the door is always open. With this collaboration, we want to encourage "passing on", which is based on our vision that our clothes are made to be inherited - we want to see at least three children in each garment.

The stories of the Moomins
The first Moomin story, Moomin and the Great Flood, was published in 1945 and was soon followed by two more books. However, it was only with the third book, The Wizard's Hat, that the big breakthrough came. It was translated into English and thus the Moomin roles quickly became known outside the Nordic countries as well. Since then, they have appeared in cartoons, TV programs and Christmas calendars - and now also on everything from clothes, textiles to jewellery and porcelain.

About Tove
Tove Jansson was born on August 9, 1914 in Helsinki and we remember her as an inspiring writer, illustrator and artist who wrote many fairy tales for children, but also novels and short stories for adults. Her work has been translated into 60 languages and spread worldwide. Most famous are her books about the Moomins, which she both illustrated and wrote.
Tove was a free spirit who enjoyed spending time outside in the Finnish archipelago, where she could live a simple life close to nature - something she reflected in many of her stories which often take place around the sea and in beautiful natural environments.
